Andrew Burke, PT, MSPT

Andy is a licensed physical therapist in the state of Massachusetts and a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). He graduated from Boston University in 2001 with a master’s degree in physical therapy and has been practicing in Plymouth since 2002. He has many years of experience with all types of injuries and has worked with patients of all ages, but his special interests include shoulder injuries and joint replacements. He was a Cape & Plymouth Business ’40 Under 40 Award Winner’ in 2013. Andy has been residing in Plymouth with his wife and family since 2004 where he enjoys being a member of the community he serves.
Brian Faghan, PTA, CCCE

Long Pond Physical Therapy is a practice established in 2004 in Plymouth, expanding to Pembroke in 2011 dealing with orthopedic injuries, disorders and dysfunctions. Long Pond has a long history of excellent clinical results as well as an impeccable reputation that is unquestioned in the community in which it serves.
Brian is a Massachusetts Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant and has been practicing in the Plymouth area since 2000. His experience makes him an expert in treating any diagnosis, but his interests include post-operative rehab, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal dysfunctions.
He is a certified Core Conditioning Specialist and a Sports Injury Specialist. Brian has also worked in the role of Clinical Instructor to many collegians in pursuit of their PTA degrees and professional licenses. Brian is an active BNI member, has served as his group’s Treasurer as well as on the membership committee. He is a South Shore Young Professional member, and an active member of both the Pembroke Chamber of Commerce and Plymouth Area Chamber. Brian has served on the Plymouth area Chamber of Commerce board of directors for the past 6 years and the Pembroke Chamber’s board of directors for the past 5 years. In 2014 Brian was awarded the “Business Man of the Year” by the Plymouth Area Chamber of Commerce. He was also the recipient of the Cape and Plymouth Business Magazines “Small Business Difference Makers Award,” given to those in the south shore and Cape Cod, that have made a positive impact in their communities as well as in their professions. Brian loves his work and the effect it has on people’s lives. When not working, Brian can be found spending time with his family.

Advanced Clinician, PT, MSPT, CBIS
Kara McKeown, Advanced Clinician, PT, MSPT, CBIS, has 18 years experience with a large variety of diagnoses in both acute in-patient rehab and home care settings. Kara received her Bachelors and Masters degrees from Simmons College in 1998 and 2000.
Kara has a special interest in treating patients with vestibular disorders, neurologic disorders, and stroke. She has experience working with patients who have multi-trauma, joint replacements, and various other musculoskeletal disorders. Over her recent 12 year career at Spaulding Cape Cod, Kara furthered her knowledge by taking multiple continuing education courses for vestibular treatment, neuro-rehabilitation, and brain injury/concussion. She collaborated with colleagues in the development of an in-patient vestibular treatment team along with the protocol for referral and screening.
Kara was the chair clinician for the inpatient vestibular special interest group. She has served as clinical instructor to many PT students and observers over her career. This past June, Kara assisted with clinical lab instruction, offering her expertise in Central Vestibular Disorders at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital - Cape Cod’s Bridging the Gap Conference. She has assisted with fundraising and planning for sponsored events such as the Last Gasp and Falmouth Road race which she has also completed as a participant. Kara continues to uphold her certification as a Brain Injury Specialist.
Kara lives in Plymouth with her husband, 2 sons, and dog. She is a loyal Patriots fan. She enjoys running and outdoor activities including boating, taking in the beauty of the local beaches, and watching her family compete in a variety of athletic activities.

Office Manager
Jen joined the Long Pond Physical Therapy team in 2004. Before being employed with us Jen was also a patient. She has been a resident of Plymouth since 1997. She was an active member of the Plymouth North High School Booster Club when her 2 kids were students there. She spearheaded the drive to establish the local “Tournament for Chad” memorial fundraiser. Jen enjoys interacting with our patients and seeing them progress towards recovery.
Lori Barberia, PT
Licensed Physical Therapist
Lori is a Massachusetts Licensed Physical Therapist who has practiced in a variety of clinical settings since 1999. She received her Bachelors in Science in Physical Therapy from Northeastern University where her clinical work included inpatient acute care at The Massachusetts General Hospital and Pediatrics / Complex Medical Care at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital. After graduating she worked in Boston as an outpatient sports physical therapist. She worked alongside both a certified manual physical therapist, as well as a clinical specialist in sports medicine. To this day she loves the “hands-on” aspect of her patient care. When she became a mom for the first time she transferred to Partners Home Care where she worked until moving to the South Shore in 2010.
Her personal experience with sports injuries and love for the outpatient setting has brought her to our clinic. When not at work she leads an active lifestyle including running, some crazy insanity classes and keeping up with her four boys. She also serves on the board of Wicked Good Cause, a local non-profit helping families throughout the South Shore.

Physical Therapist Assistant
Meghan graduated from Bay State College’s physical therapist assistant program with an Associates in Applied Science in May 2013. She has been a member of the American Physical Therapy Association since 2011. Her clinical experience includes outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation and skilled nursing facility care. Before becoming a PTA, Meghan served in the United States Army reserves for 8 years and is an Iraq war veteran. She can be found working at both the Plymouth and Pembroke clinic and enjoys working with patients of all ages. Her specific interests are injury prevention and sports specific rehabilitation, as she is also a certified fitness instructor. She resides in Plymouth with her daughter.

Cheryl will most often be the first face you will see when you enter our Redbrook office. You can be assured that she will always greet you with a smile and warm welcome. Her energy and sunny attitude helps her to keep each day running smoothly. Her responsibilities encompass many aspects of our office including scheduling, billing, office management, marketing and customer service. Her incredible organizational skills help keep our team and office running smoothly and our patients smiling.
A former patient – Cheryl joined our team in 2013. After raising their family in Norwell for 20 years - Cheryl and her husband moved to Plymouth where they currently reside. Friends, family, golf and the Pats are her off-hour go to’s!
Lisa Boyer
PTA
Lisa graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 2013 with a B.S. in Exercise Science. After working in Cardiac Rehabilitation, she returned to school and graduated from the Physical Therapist Assistant program at Quincy College. She loves helping patients return to their favorite recreational activities and has a special interest in balance and vestibular therapy. Outside of work, you'll find Lisa spending time with her fiance, working on her golf game, and spending time in Maine with friends & family.
